Join us September 14-16, 2012 as we spend a weekend together encountering Christ in ways that are perhaps new or long since felt. Through teaching, testimonies and worship we’ll dive deep into what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a holistic disciple. You’ll learn more about yourself, the body of believers around you, and most importantly, the God who created you. Get to know the sisters you have in the Lord and the community that awaits you. Whether your relationship with Christ is new or old, we firmly believe this weekend will be a blessing.
How do I register? You can register online right here on this website. We recognize that God is doing some great things among our church body and many of you have been patiently awaiting this weekend. That said, registration is on a first come basis and that there is a possibility that not all who register for this Encounter will be able to go due to space. If this is the case with you, fear not! You will be put on a waiting list and have the first opportunity to go on our next Encounter weekend. We have a deep desire to give every woman the opportunity to attend this amazing weekend…so don’t give up as we won’t give up on you!
How much does registration cost? While we wish we could offer this weekend at no charge, that simply is not possible. We ask each attendee to invest $100 toward meals, lodging and supplies. This registration fee will be accepted at time of registration or worked out accordingly with one of the leadership team. If this amount is difficult for you, please don’t let that stop you from attending. God has been consistently generous and scholarships are available. Where is Women’s Encounter held? They don’t call it Purdy, Missouri for nothing! We’ll be heading southeast about one hour to the beautiful Camp Barnabas located in Purdy, Missouri. For info on the camp visit www.campbarnabas.org
What should I bring?
Sleeping bag and/or sheets and a pillow
Towels
Toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.)
Comfortable Clothes (think in layers…outside may be chilly but inside may be warm!)
Flashlight
Bible and Pen
What’s the Schedule Look Like? We ask that each woman go through two Pre-Encounters. These are hour to an hour and a half long sessions that help us get prepared for the weekend mentally, emotionally and spiritually. God wants to speak to us, but we’ve got to be ready to listen. These two sessions will be offered the two Wednesday nights and Sundays (During 9:45 service) prior to our departure. You may attend either one as long as you attend both. If these times are not possible for you, please contact Megan Gariss and other arrangements will be made.
Check-in will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14 in the upstairs chapel lobby. We will board the bus and depart at 6:30 p.m. arriving at Camp Barnabas in time for supper. We will return to Christ’s Church of Oronogo at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 16.
We invite each attendee to Post-Encounter. Post-Encounter is a series of 7 sessions that will help us stay grounded in the decisions and commitments we made during our weekend away. We strongly encourage you to join us either on a Sunday morning (9:45) or Wednesday evening (6:30) for this series as it can be a crucial part of maintaining solid walks with the Lord. Plus, how fun is it to grow and learn together?!

at 6:30 p.m.— Departure for Camp Barnabas
Sunday, September 16 at 4:45 p.m.– Arrive at CCO
Next 7 Sundays at 9:45 a.m.— Post-Encounter
Next 7 Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.– Post-Encounter
