Missions – Spanish American Evangelistic Ministries

Description of Ministry:

The ministry of SAEM has been in existence since 1964. It is centered in printing gospel literature and distributing it. We work on a personal basis with the pastors and evangelists that come to our property from Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. It is nice to be able to assist their needs of Christian literature for evangelizing and teaching in the city areas, where they have their churches and ministries. To them, is offered as well, any benevolence items we might have on hand. It normally is rice, beans, canned goods, clothing and shoes.

We get written requests and e-mail requests, for our literature from El Salvador, Venezuela, Panama, Cuba, Peru, and Mexico, to name some. The literature sent to these places is all free of charge; we understand they do not have the means to make donations. This is why we rely on Christian Churches and individual Christians for support. Next to the monetary support is the support of our volunteers; they are the ones that help us carry the work throughout our printing room: Cutting, folding, bundling, boxing, and stalking the literature in shelves – ready for distribution. We encourage the workers to stay at our mission by offering housing and RV hookups. The main thing offered here is great Christian fellowship while we all work. It is a tremendous joy to witness how our wonderful God works in His people.

Ministry Update:

It is good to write to you again. Life is busy, right? We at SAEM continue to remain just that…! We look for ways to help all that come to our mission. This time, I want to share how God turned things around allowing us to recognize our needs and how we too can be blessed by those we normally help out…our Christian friends from across the border. Yes, that’s right! Members of a loyal church in Juarez had been by our mission for literature and benevolence items. They were grateful and promised to come and help. While we know that he intentions are there by many that come; we realize how hard it is for them to keep their promise; having the challenge of transportation (gas prices), time at the bridge, and commitments at their own church. Well, this group dif show up…Two weeks later in Feb. They came in a bus load! By then, all of the work in our Print Ship was done; so the men helped by cleaning our property. The ladies sorted and bagged clothing at our “Ropero”. They worked very hard all day for SAEM; we had great fellowship while we all enjoyed pizza for lunch. This mission is most encouraged by such actions of love. One of these brothers in Christ, Manuel, has continued to work; repairing one of our apartments that suffered much water damage. We thank God for sending us the right people; each and every time…HE IS GOOD!
